It has twonumbers.The top number is the amount of force when your heart beats. It’s called systolic blood pressure.The bottom number is the amount of force when your heart is at rest, or between beats. It’s called diastolicblood pressure.Healthy blood pressure for most adults is a systolic pressure of less than 120 and a diastolic pressure of lessthan 80. This is read as “120 over 80.”If your blood pressure is often above this level, your healthcare provider may advise lifestyle changes ormedicine to help lower it.
